This past Monday, pop star Katy Perry sang What a Wonderful World during her space flight—and we’re still soaring with her. Not only was It was a terriffic choice for this occasion, it’s also one of our all-time favorite songs, and hearing it sung from space only magnified its message, especially in these times.
I see trees of green, red roses too…
Up there, Earth isn’t divided into countries, politics, or problems. It’s a fragile, glowing blue-and-white orb, floating in the vastness of space—our only home. From that perspective, there are no borders. No conflicts. Just one beautiful, interconnected world.
And Katy’s voice reminded us of that simple truth: it is a wonderful world.
And it’s ours to explore. And we are.
So can you.
Travel helps us see the Earth as it truly is—diverse, alive, and unified. We were moved by Katy’s performance, not just for its beauty but for the reminder it carries:
We are one.
We should create, not destroy.
Live, not hate.
Explore, not fear.
Connect, not divide.
Let’s keep looking up—and going farther together.
