A Portal Through Time — This weathered wooden blue doorway in Varanasi, India, echoes centuries of stories, its chipped paint and layered locks standing as guardians of tradition. Every bolt and blemish whispers a tale from a bygone era, inviting a curious traveler like me to imagine what lies beyond. It was the vibrant blue color framed by orange, pink and yellow that drew me to take a picture of this door; that and it’s location along a very narrow passageway in Varanasi. The place was so narrow, in fact, that it made for a difficult shot at an awkward angle. But I contorted myself enough to capture it. Varanasi is our #1 city in the world. There’s no place like it on this planet.
