It started in Barcelona on Sunday, Marseille on Monday, Corsica on Tuesday, Rome on Wednesday and the last two days in Marvelous Malta. Every day, every port was spectacular. Even the places we have already been to we saw through new eyes and discovered hidden gems we had not seen on previous trips (please see my post yesterday – Many Destinations Deserve Many Visits). Malta in particular was scenic and breathtaking in every way. We walked the marble streets of Valletta, saw neolithic UNESCO sites dating back 8,000 years, saw colorful fishing boats bob up and down in a fishing village, toured the ancient city of Mdina and finally saw the famous blue grotto caves. A special shout out to our guide Erika. This morning we toured the world class National Museum of Archaeology, bought souvenirs and had a delightful cappuccino at a café in one of the squares. We’ve definitely bookmarked Malta for a return visit. Every view is a postcard and Stratton of course has many such postcards! Follow us as we continue our journey to North Africa next week on our blog at http://www.Farthertogether.blog! Lots more exciting places to visit and share with you.
I would love to help you plan your amazing trip to Malta and beyond!
