While exploring Memphis, we found ourselves face-to-face with a three-letter code that defined a legend: TCB – Taking Care of Business.
Elvis Presley didn’t just make music—he built a way of life. And TCB was at the center of it. You’ll see it etched in gold on his ring, painted on the tails of his private jets, and even engraved on his grave at Graceland. But it wasn’t about status. It was a mantra. A reminder to handle life—with purpose, speed, and a little lightning.
Elvis added that bolt—TCB⚡—to mean get it done, and get it done now. Whether it was looking after his band, his family, or his fans, he believed in showing up and doing the work.
For us, Taking Care of Business means something too. On the road, it’s about staying curious, being present, honoring the people we meet and the stories we carry. It’s about handling challenges with grace, and traveling not just for escape—but for connection.
So next time you see those three letters—maybe at Graceland, or on a souvenir in a Memphis shop—remember what they meant to Elvis, and what they can mean for us all.
Take care of your business. Take care of your people. Take care of your soul.
And now I have to take care of my business climbing Kilimanjaro! Please follow my journey on this blog.
