Nestled on the lush slopes of Mount Meru, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge was the perfect place for me to rest, relax, and get grounded before my Kilimanjaro climb. Surrounded by ancient trees, bird calls, and the gentle flow of spring-fed streams, it felt like a world apart—peaceful, soulful, and deeply calming. The staff were so amazing, smiles and warmth as well as professionalism made the all too brief stay uplifting and elevated my already high spirits. And the food – delicious with generous servings of everything!
It was here that I met my guide, Moses, whose calm confidence immediately put me at ease. We walked the grounds, talked through the days ahead, and went over the details of my gear—making sure everything was dialed in for the journey up Africa’s highest peak.
Ngare Sero offered more than just comfort. It gave me space to breathe, reset, and reflect on the challenge ahead. A sanctuary before the summit.
