While the climb itself was extraordinary, the mountain had its own way of enforcing silence: no reliable internet connection meant real-time updates weren’t possible. But now that the journey is complete, the story of the adventure is just beginning.
Over the coming days, Stratton will be sharing the journey picking up where he left off from Day One, capturing the incredible sights, challenges, and moments of awe that made the Kilimanjaro experience so powerful. From the lush rainforest of the Lemosho Route to the snow-dusted summit, each day brought something new—and it’s all coming to life here on Farther Together.
Even better, Stratton and Debbie are now reunited in Arusha. They celebrated with a joyful evening at the elegant Gran Meliá Hotel, catching up and sharing stories under the Tanzanian sky. And the adventure doesn’t stop here.
Tomorrow, they begin the next leg of their African journey: a wildlife safari across Tanzania’s and Kenya’s legendary landscapes. From towering baobabs to great herds on the move, they’ll be posting reflections, stories, and photos along the way. Their journey ends in fabled Zanzibar.
