Too often, we live as if we’re sitting in a waiting room—waiting for the “right time,” the perfect conditions, or someone else to give us permission. But life isn’t a rehearsal. It’s happening right now.
Each day offers us a threshold to cross, an opportunity to take one step closer to becoming who we’re meant to be. Joseph Campbell called these threshold moments—those times when we step out of the familiar and into the unknown. Marcus Aurelius reminded us in Meditations that “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do, say, and think.”
The truth is, there will never be a flawless moment to start the adventure, the project, or the conversation you’ve been putting off. Life isn’t a waiting room—it’s the journey itself. And the door is always open.
